Our Mission: To give people a break from the everyday grind by sharing strange stories, cold beers, and plenty of laughs. Whether we’re talking cryptids, hauntings, conspiracies, or local legends, our goal is simple: entertain, have fun, and bring listeners along for the ride.
Podcast Origin Story
Mike and Corey played baseball together in high school, never really close at the time but always connected through a shared love for America’s pastime. Fast forward about 15 years, the two reconnected at a wedding and quickly picked up right where things left off.
That chance meeting eventually led to Corey convincing Mike to join him in coaching T-ball together. Somewhere between practices and post-game conversations, the idea of starting a podcast came up—something they’d both talked about wanting to do for years.
After a few more conversations (and a few beers), Kraken Cans Cast was born.
Meet the Hosts
Corey aka BK CorEy, Fluff, Jelly
Corey grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and has always been fascinated by the unknown. A husband and proud father of three, he balances family life with a passion for all things strange, mysterious, and unexplained.
His interest in the paranormal began with a few personal experiences that left more questions than answers. While dating his future wife in high school, he awoke in the middle of the night and witnessed what appeared to be a woman in a white dress floating in front of her bedroom closet. He also experienced unexplained footsteps at both her house and his grandmother’s home, where he and his sister searched for the source but found nothing.
Corey truly fell in love with cryptids during a family vacation to Lake Champlain in his early twenties, where he first learned about the legend of Champ. From that moment on, he was hooked.
Today, he enjoys exploring cryptids, hauntings, folklore, and the mysteries that continue to defy explanation. When he’s not recording Kraken Cans Cast, he’s usually spending time with his family, hunting down a great craft beer, or checking out a new brewery.
Mike aka KrakDaddy Mike, Peanut Butter, Mic
Mike is a husband, dad, beer enthusiast, and co-host of Kraken Cans Cast. A lifelong fan of the unknown, he has always been fascinated by cryptids and the paranormal, and that curiosity was kicked into high gear after discovering a podcast episode about the Mothman, which opened the door to a whole world of strange stories and unexplained phenomena.
While he wouldn’t call himself a skeptic, Mike approaches every mystery with a questioning mind. He enjoys exploring the facts, theories, and evidence behind each story, but he also has a hard time taking anything too seriously. Whether he’s discussing Bigfoot, UFOs, haunted houses, or government conspiracies, he’s usually looking for a way to work a joke into the conversation. His mix of curiosity, humor, and occasional smart remarks helps keep even the strangest topics fun and approachable, making every episode feel less like a lecture and more like hanging out with friends over a few IPAs.
When he’s not researching the next episode, Mike is spending time with his family, enjoying a good IPA, and searching for the next legend, monster, or mystery worthy of a deep dive on Kraken Cans Cast.

First Thursday — The Kickback
Kick back with us and a special guest as we chat about whatever comes to mind. From fellow podcasters and paranormal investigators to brewers and creators, these episodes are all about good conversation and good company.
Second Thursday — Cryptid Minisodes
Short, focused episodes covering cryptids from around the world. Whether they’re famous or obscure, we’ll give you the essentials on the creatures that lurk in folklore and legend.
Third Thursday — Kraken Current
Join us as we explore current events, news stories, discoveries, and developments from the cryptid, paranormal, and unexplained communities.
Fourth Thursday — Cryptid Minisodes
Another dose of cryptid goodness! We return with a new minisode spotlighting a mysterious creature from somewhere around the globe.
Fifth Thursday (When Applicable) — Live Event
If a month has a fifth Thursday, we’ll go live on one of our social media platforms to hang out with listeners, answer questions, talk about recent topics, and have some fun with the Kraken community.
